DEAR FAMILY, FRIENDS and FANS

I’m sure you’ve been wondering "What’s that wacky Andrea Rowe up to these days?" Well, let me tell you, because I could really use your help.
Like the good, patriotic American that I am, I’m doing my part to fight terror — the terror of war.
In November, 2001, I helped found the North Coast Peace Coalition (NCPC). We are a community of people concerned for the future of the one planet we all share. We actively seek to create and nurture an environment based upon compassion, social justice, truth and nonviolent conflict resolution.
This June, my husband, Cheth, and I will represent the NCPC in Dubrovnik, Croatia at a week-long, international peace conference. "The Alchemy of Peace Building," co-sponsored by Praxis Peace Institute and the Institute of Noetic Sciences, will teach us how to find imaginative solutions to end the cycles of war and terrorism.
We will bring this knowledge back to the U.S. to benefit our communities through different events, such as seminars and workshops, offered by the grass-roots movement, NCPC.
Since I haven’t become rich and famous. . . yet. . . I need your help. I am trying to raise funds to offset our travel and conference costs. Whatever is left will go to the Peace Institute’s youth scholarship fund to help kids from Oakland, Tajikistan, and everywhere in-between attend this conference.
I know times have been tough for everybody. But, if you can find it in your heart and your pocketbook to help send Andy and Cheth to camp, we would be eternally grateful. I’m not tax-deductible, neither is NCPC. But you will receive a free copy of "Sarajevo Serenade," a CD inspired by our travels in the Balkans.
To those of you who can’t help us monetarily, your positive energy is just as valuable. This work is very important to me, probably the most important of my life. So, please, Hold Your Vision for our success and safe return.

P.S. At this time we are trying to organize a free concert in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Hercegovina for Women for Women International. When we performed for them last spring, tears filled their eyes as they realized: Americans do care.
